Join the campus GitHub organization to get GitHub Copilot and the AI resources the campus provides to its students.

AI credits

Up to 3,000 AI model credits through the campus organization, on top of the standard GitHub Education plan.

Staff review

The EMIS Unit checks each request against campus records.

GitHub account needed

The invitation goes to your @tcioe.edu.np email; add it to your GitHub account first.

The GitHub invitation is sent to this address.

Getting started with AI in VS Code

After you accept the GitHub invitation:

  1. Install Visual Studio Code from code.visualstudio.com .
  2. Install the GitHub Copilot extension from the VS Code Marketplace .
  3. Sign in with the GitHub account that accepted the organization invitation.
  4. Use inline suggestions while you type and Copilot Chat to ask questions or explain code.

Usage rules

  • Do not share your account, password or GitHub credentials with anyone.
  • Access and AI credits are tied to your college identity and are for your own academic use.
  • Do not resell, transfer or lend your access.
  • Review AI generated code before you use it; you are responsible for what you submit.
  • Follow the campus code of conduct and academic integrity rules when using AI tools.
  • Report misuse, suspicious activity or account problems to the EMIS Unit.
